Profile of the Institute
Vignan Institute of Technology and Science, Hyderabad, is the flagship institution that was established in 1998 by Dr. L. Rathaiah, founder and chairman of
Lavu Educational Society, with the approval of AICTE and affiliated with JNTUH, Hyderabad. The college is situated in the serene,
lush green environs of Deshmukhi Village, near Ramoji Film City.
The institution, with its diverse and dynamic community of about 2900 students,
offers a distinctive combination of some of the finest facilities for B.Tech and M.Tech,
with various graduate and undergraduate programmes in Civil, MECH, EEE, ECE, CSE, CSE (AI & ML), CSE (Data Science),
AI & DS, IT, and EIE. The B.Tech. programmes of the college are accredited by the NBA and deservingly awarded a NAAC A+ grade.
About the Department of Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established with the inception of the institute, and the programme is accredited by the NBA.
The department has a highly qualified team of faculty selected from IITs, NITs, and state universities with academic excellence, research experience, and industry
exposure. The department has state-of-the-art laboratories that cater to the curriculum requirements of academic programmes and the research needs of both faculty
and students, in addition to computing facilities with a wide range of software support.
Faculty members of the department have successfully executed various IEI, AICTE, DRDO, and SERB-DST-sponsored projects.
An advanced lab on composite materials processing and testing has been established in our institute to handle the research projects sanctioned by DRDO and AICTE.
Students in our department are constantly exposed to industry and emerging technologies through their active participation in innovative and collaborative projects, internships, industrial visits, expert lectures, conferences, and workshops. They are also exposed to the competitive world through memberships in various professional societies like ASME, SAE, and IEI.
A most notable achievement in our department's history is an MOU with ISRO to involve our students in the execution of the prestigious STUDSAT (Picosatellite) project.
Scope of the Conference : ICRAME-2023
The International Conference on Recent Advancements in Materials Engineering (ICRAME-2023), which will take place on September 29th and 30th in Hyderabad, India, will be organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Vignan Institute of Technology and Science Deshmukhi. For the majority of researchers in the scientific world, "Advancements in Materials" is a major area of interest. Numerous novel materials can be created using cutting-edge materials techniques for use in a variety of industries, including the aerospace, defence, and industrial sectors. The development of technology necessitates a unique manufacturing strategy and an understanding of the structure-property link for the components' sustainability in use. The conference aims to highlight all technological developments in the field of advancement in materials. Researchers and practising engineers from various academic institutions and enterprises are anticipated to attend the conference. The conference's interdisciplinary approach may enable the participants to look outside of their specific fields of study and competence. The conference's organisers reached out to eminent experts to share their expertise on the advancement of materials. Young researchers from around the world will be able to present their work at the conference, network with accomplished colleagues in a variety of subjects, and collaborate with industry. Faculty members, researchers, and engineers will all have a chance to contribute during the conference.

Authors are requested to submit their original and unpublished research work that is not under consideration for publication anywhere else. As per the copyright transfer agreement, authors are deemed to be individually and collectively responsible for the content of the manuscripts they publish.
